Just wrote a comment which got lost. I'll try again.Slaa had its first Irish meeting in Dingle , Co Kerry in 1988: its first Dublin meeting in 1993. Presently in Dublin it has MONDAY lunch time; TUESDAY 8:30 meeting:WEDNESDAY 6:30 meeting; THURSDAY 6 pm Anorectic meeting; FRIDAY 8:30 meeting;SATURDAY 4:00 meeting and SUNDAY 8:30 meeting - all PM meetings. Newbridge, Co. Kildare meeting at 8pm. Galway have three weekly meetings.Belfast (like some other parts of Ireland) have sporadic meetings. WE at the voluntary office in Dublin generally know of the occasions of these sporadic meetings.Dublin groups organise two weekend live-ins per annum accomadation and food for €120. The next get together is April 24. 28 places, 20 bookings already. I was wondering if anyone else would be interested in a meeting in Belfast. I'm so desperate to get to a meeting there just doesn't seem to be any!!
We are still awaiting details of the meeting in Belfast which has been running for a number of years. Perhaps you'll have more joy researching locally. Good luck.
hi i live in ireland and have just dicovered slaa on line but time zones make it a bit akward to "attend" i would like to share with others in this time zone as i have found the online slaa rooms online very helpfull and the members mainly Us based who are up in the night or early hours supportive as well
